About the Role

Trusty Coders is seeking an experienced WordPress Developer (Backend) with strong hands-on expertise in WordPress development. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on backend development while also supporting frontend requirements when needed.

This role requires a deep understanding of WordPress architecture and the ability to build clean, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress plugins
• Customize and enhance WooCommerce functionality
• Perform WordPress theme customization and improvements
• Integrate REST APIs and third-party services
• Work with Custom Post Types (CPTs), hooks, filters, and actions
• Handle backend development using PHP and MySQL
• Support frontend tasks using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Debug issues and optimize website performance
• Ensure code quality, security, and scalability

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of proven experience in WordPress development
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and WordPress core
• Hands-on experience with WooCommerce customization
• Experience in developing custom plugins and themes
• Knowledge of REST APIs and third-party integrations
• Basic to intermediate frontend skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Good understanding of website performance and security best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
