WordPress Developer (Immediate Joiner) – Nehru Place, New Delhi

Job Summary

We are looking for a WordPress Developer with strong knowledge of PHP, WordPress, CSS, and JavaScript to build and maintain modern, user-friendly, and interactive websites.
You will be responsible for custom theme development, performance optimization, and ensuring a smooth user experience across all devices.

Job Details

• Job Type: Full-time, On-site
• Location: Nehru Place, New Delhi
• Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹35,000 per month (depending on skills & experience)
• Experience: 1–3 years (or strong portfolio)
• Joining: Immediate joiners preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites using custom themes and plugins.
• Create custom WordPress themes from scratch based on project requirements.
• Convert Figma/PSD/UI designs into fully responsive WordPress templates.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript & jQuery code.
• Integrate and customize popular WordPress plugins (Contact Form 7, WooCommerce, Elementor, etc.).
• Ensure websites are responsive, mobile-friendly, and cross-browser compatible.
• Optimize website speed and performance (caching, image optimization, minimizing scripts).
• Implement basic SEO best practices (on-page SEO, meta tags, heading structure).
• Work with APIs and third-party integrations when required.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs, layout issues, and compatibility problems.
• Maintain proper documentation of work and follow best coding practices.
• Collaborate with designers, content writers, and management to deliver projects on time.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with WordPress (themes, hooks, filters, template hierarchy).
• Good knowledge of Core PHP and basic OOP concepts.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Experience in custom theme development (not just using pre-built themes).
• Understanding of MySQL / WordPress database structure.
• Good knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with website performance optimization tools and techniques.
• Basic understanding of SEO, web security, and WordPress hardening.
• Experience with Git/version control (preferred).
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving attitude and attention to detail.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with WooCommerce and eCommerce websites.
• Knowledge of Elementor, Gutenberg, or other page builders.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and user-focused design.
• Experience integrating payment gateways, CRM tools, or marketing tools.
• Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console.
