WordPress Developer (Figma-Savvy & Passionate About Clean Code)

Are you passionate about building functional, fast, and visually appealing websites? Do you love turning pixel-perfect Figma designs into high-performing WordPress websites? We’re looking for a WordPress Developer who’s not only skilled but genuinely excited about web development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on Figma designs.
• Convert UI/UX prototypes into fully responsive and dynamic WordPress websites.
• Maintain, update, and optimise existing WordPress sites for speed, performance, and security.
• Troubleshoot issues, debug code, and implement technical solutions as needed.
• Collaborate with content teams and project managers to deliver seamless web experiences.
• Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and plugins as required.
• Install & configure themes and plugins.
• Install WordPress on hosting platforms.
• Create and manage pages & posts.
• Customise menus, widgets, sidebars, colours, fonts, and basic CSS for better design.
• Manage users, roles, and permissions.
• Do basic SEO settings using plugins like Yoast or Rank Math. Design landing pages, blogs, business websites, and portfolios.
• Create responsive websites (mobile/tablet-friendly).
• Use template kits and theme builders.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio.
• Hands-on experience with Figma and the ability to accurately implement design specs.
• Solid understanding of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Experience with popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, Beaver Builder, Gutenberg, etc).
• Knowledge of WordPress core functions, theme and plugin development, and CMS best practices.
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and development workflows.
• Experience with WooCommerce or other WordPress-based eCommerce platforms.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and AJAX.
• Understanding of SEO, accessibility, and performance optimisation.
• Ability to troubleshoot cross-browser and cross-device issues.
