WordPress Developer - Remote

The Role
We are looking for a hands-on WordPress Developer to build, maintain, and optimize multiple WordPress websites from landing pages and event sites to membership portals with payment integration. You'll work directly with our international team and take ownership of sites from setup to launch.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins
• Develop responsive, fast-loading landing pages and conversion-focused designs
• Integrate payment gateways (Stripe), forms, CRM tools, and email marketing systems
• Customize themes with PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (not just page builders)
• Manage hosting environments, domains, SSL, backups, and site migrations (cPanel/BT Panel/Cloudflare experience is a plus)
• Optimize site speed, SEO fundamentals, and security hardening
• Troubleshoot bugs and resolve issues quickly and independently
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and project leads across time zones

Requirements

• 2 - 4 years of proven WordPress development experience (portfolio required)
• Strong skills in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Experience with Elementor / WPBakery / Gutenberg and custom theme development
• Familiarity with WooCommerce, membership plugins, and payment integrations
• Understanding of website performance optimization and basic server management
• Good written and spoken English for daily team communication
• Reliable internet connection and your own development setup
• Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and able to work independently in a remote environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with Stripe or other payment gateway integrations
• Knowledge of Cloudflare, DNS management, and email deliverability (SMTP/SES)
• Basic experience with REST APIs, automation tools (n8n/Zapier), or AI integrations
• UI/UX sensibility and experience with Figma-to-WordPress workflows
