Job Title: WordPress Web Development InternRole Overview

We are looking for a motivated and tech-savvy WordPress Intern to join our development team. In this role, you will assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing websites for a variety of clients. You will work closely with senior developers and designers to learn the ropes of professional web development, from theme customization to site performance and SEO best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Construction: Assist in setting up WordPress installations, configuring themes (Elementor, Divi, or Gutenberg), and setting up essential plugins.
• Content Management: Update website content (text, images, and blog posts) and ensure layouts remain responsive across mobile and desktop.
• Troubleshooting: Help identify and fix minor bugs, broken links, and formatting issues.
• Optimization: Learn and apply basic SEO principles and image optimization to improve site loading speeds.
• Maintenance: Perform routine updates for WordPress core, themes, and plugins while ensuring site backups are secure.
• Research: Explore new plugins or tools that can improve our internal workflows or client site functionality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Foundational Web Knowledge: Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and how the internet works (hosting, DNS, etc.).
• WordPress Familiarity: General knowledge of the WordPress dashboard, post types, and the difference between pages and posts.
• Design Eye: A basic understanding of UI/UX principles—knowing when an image looks "off" or a button is hard to find.
• Problem-Solving: A "search-first" mindset (you try to find the answer on Google/Stack Overflow before asking for help).
• Attention to Detail: Ability to follow checklists to ensure no step is missed during a site launch.

Preferred (Bonus) Skills

• Basic knowledge of PHP or JavaScript.
• Experience with page builders like Elementor or Oxygen.
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Canva, or Figma.
• Understanding of Google Analytics and Search Console.

Job Type: Internship
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: Rs15,000.00 - Rs20,000.00 per month
