This role demands meticulous technical writing, robust electrical safety knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and management to get it right. If a well-written work package is as important to you as the work itself, this is your role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Write detailed step-by-step work instructions, safety requirements, LOTO procedures, and material/labor estimates for high-consequence activities
  • Plan work in high-explosives areas - diligently ensuring only approved items and procedures are used
  • Implement and follow the Integrated Safety Management (ISM) process; apply electrical safety and chemical hazard awareness throughout
  • Maintain data accuracy across Asset Suite CMMS, MicroStrategy, and internal backlog tracking tools
  • Train other planners in work package development; collaborate with managers and vendors to extract correct information

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of related experience - or equivalent combination of education and direct work control planning experience

  • Robust electrical safety background - isolation procedures, LOTO, safe work practices in complex facilities
  • Familiarity with the ISM process and DOE work authorization requirements
  • Ability to interpret complex mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
  • CMMS experience - Asset Suite or SAP preferred; strong Microsoft Office skills required
  • Strong communicator - able to connect with engineers, operations personnel, and management to gather accurate information

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience at LANL, NNSA, DOE, or other nuclear/weapons production facilities
  • Experience in or planning for high-explosives areas; familiarity with Wabash presses or lithography machines
  • Chemical hazard awareness; experience with troubleshooting and repair documentation
