Job Description: Workday Developer – Procurement / Supply Chain (Healthcare)

Location: Remote (U.S.)
Type: Long-Term Contract (12+ months, with possible extension)

Position Summary

We are seeking a certified Workday Developer with strong experience in procurement, supply chain integrations, preferably within the healthcare sector. The consultant will be responsible for configuring, developing, and maintaining Workday modules related to Procurement, Items, Purchase Orders (POs), and Supplier Management, while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with healthcare business processes.

This role requires both technical and functional understanding of Workday, with hands-on skills in integrations, EIBs, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, enhance, and support Workday Procurement and Supply Chain modules including Items, POs, Requisitions, Suppliers, and Approvals.
  • Create and manage item master records — including setup, categorization, and lifecycle management.
  • Develop and maintain Workday integrations using Studio, Core Connectors, and EIBs for procurement, supplier, and inventory workflows.
  • Design and maintain Workday reports and dashboards for procurement and supply chain KPIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in finance, supply chain, and IT to align business requirements with system capabilities.
  • Support data migration, conversion, and validation of supplier, item, and procurement data.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure timely delivery of system enhancements and change requests.
  • Participate in testing cycles, version upgrades, and documentation of new configurations or integrations.
  • Ensure all work aligns with internal controls, healthcare compliance standards, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • E*xtensive experience as a Workday Developer* or Workday Supply Chain/Procurement Specialist.
  • Deep understanding of Workday Procurement, Financials, and/or Supply Chain modules.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and EIB integrations.
  • Proven ability to manage Items, Purchase Orders, Supplier Catalogs, and Requisitions in Workday.
  • Experience with Workday Reporting and Calculated Fields.
  • Workday certification(s) REQUIRED
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in a remote team setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry (hospital, clinic network, or medical supply environment).
  • Experience with Workday Extend or advanced development features.
  • Knowledge of ERP or supply chain integrations outside Workday (e.g., Epic, SAP, or Oracle).

Contract Details

  • Duration: 12+ months (strong potential for extension)
  • Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)
  • Schedule: Full-time, standard business hours
  • Start Date: Immediate

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
