What you’ll do
- Represent clients in workers' compensation claims, ensuring their rights are protected throughout the process.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Neos to build strong cases.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases involving personal injury law.
- Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations to provide informed advice to clients.
- Participate in hearings and trials, presenting compelling arguments to support client claims.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure timely communication with clients regarding their cases.
Basic qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in workers' compensation law or related fields such as litigation.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful settlements.
- Familiarity with litigation processes and experience representing clients in court.
