Attorney – Workers’ Compensation Defense (California)

A growing workers’ compensation defense law practice is seeking an attorney to join its team. The firm has been consistently recognized as a top workplace and is committed to providing ongoing training, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in workers’ compensation proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze complex issues, and draft legal documents.
  • Attend hearings and depositions.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Manage time effectively while following established procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and external parties at all levels.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex legal issues.
  • Client-focused, proactive, and comfortable with legal technology.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods while using a computer.
  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
  • Ability to read printed materials and computer screens.
  • Clear verbal communication in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to move within an office environment and handle office equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to travel to court as required.

Location Options:

  • Remote (optional)
  • In-office opportunities available in multiple California locations, including Agoura Hills, Oxnard, Encino, Inland Empire, Long Beach, Orange County, Sacramento, and San Diego.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
