Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Worker's Compensation Case Manager team member to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support, ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice. This role is crucial in assisting attorneys with various tasks, document management, and case preparation. A strong understanding of workers' compensation procedure is helpful.
Duties
- Prepare and file legal documents in compliance with WCAB court requirements.
- Assist in preparing Worker's Compensation case files, conducting document reviews, and managing discovery materials.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for easy access to documents. Use of A1 Law.
- Collaborate with clients and staff to gather necessary information and provide updates on case status.
- Ensure compliance with all legal procedures and regulations related to Workers' Compensation law, we will train the right candidate.
Experience
- One to two years of proven experience as a Worker's Compensation Case Manager, Legal Secretary or Worker's Compensation Hearing Representative or in a similar role within a law firm is required.
- Hours from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Proficient in EAMS
- Must be able to handle a case load of 100-200 cases.
- Must know how to prepare EAMS documents and E-Filing procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for drafting documents and interacting with clients.
- Knowledge of litigation processes and Worker's Compensation law procedures.
- Spanish/Bilingual Preferred.
- Five (5) Paid vacation days, Five (5) paid holidays.
