Job Overview

Our rapidly growing personal injury firm is seeking a full-time Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate must be bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish, highly organized, responsive, and comfortable in a very phone-centered role. This position involves daily, high-volume phone communication with clients, medical providers, and insurance representatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who enjoys client interaction, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing strong support to both attorneys and clients. We are seeking someone who wants to grow with our team long-term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Workers’ Compensation clients
  • Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls
  • Provide case updates, answer questions, and guide clients through the process
  • Maintain a professional, empathetic, and responsive communication style
  • Manage case files, deadlines, and calendars using ICMS and other case management systems
  • Ensure timely filing of documents and compliance with Workers’ Compensation requirements
  • Maintain organized and accurate case records
  • Gather, organize, and review medical records, insurance documents, and related materials
  • Assist with discovery, including responses to interrogatories and requests for production
  • Utilize Adobe Acrobat for document management (training provided if needed)
  • Assist attorneys with legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, and correspondence
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other third parties
  • Assist with hearing or trial preparation as needed

Qualifications

  • Bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish (required)
  • Prior paralegal experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation law
  • Experience with ICMS case management software (required)
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines
  • Highly responsive, dependable, and comfortable handling daily, highvolume phone communication with clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; enjoys speaking with clients and building rapport
  • Positive, solutionoriented attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with legal software and document management systems
  • Adobe Acrobat experience preferred (training available)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred.
