Workshop Assistant - Stone Engraving

This is a temporary role, expected to last from the point of hire through mid October 2026.

Job Summary

We engrave stone. The method that we use to engrave stone is sandblasting. Our products include custom engraved limestone signage, fundraising brick, river rock memorials, & granite memorials. I would like to hire a Workshop Assistant to help our team of engravers perform their craft more efficiently.

The Workshop Assistant will not be tasked with performing any engravings.

Duties

• Organize engraving materials, which includes sorting limestone and rocks by size
• Prepare engraving materials which includes but is not limited to sanding limestone and cleaning dust off of river rocks.
• Prepare engraved materials for shipment by removing their design stencils and flagging any imperfections in the engraving
• Boxing engraved materials for shipment
• Helping to maintain an organized workshop and stone yard

Requirements

This job is pretty simple and should be stress free. You just need to be proactive worker. We make things here, so it's not like sitting at a cash register waiting for someone to initiate a transaction. We're all driven to create things, and that's all the right candidate needs to be.

That said, we do engrave heavy materials weighing up to 50 pounds (not typical). You must be willing and able to contribute to manual labor.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
