Job Summary

The Workshop Technician will be responsible for performing electrical repairs, assembling components, maintaining tools, and supporting overall workshop operations. This role ensures that equipment is repaired efficiently and ready for deployment in the steel plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repair, servicing, and assembly of electrical components and tools.
• Inspect faulty items and carry out troubleshooting and corrective action.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment inventory, and spare parts.
• Assist engineers and supervisors in preparing components for installation or commissioning.
• Fabricate and repair electrical panels, small control units, and wiring as required.
• Maintain proper documentation of repairs, test results, and part replacements.
• Follow workshop safety standards and ensure a clean working environment.

Requirements

• ITI/Diploma in Electrical / Industrial Maintenance.
• Minimum 2–3 years of workshop experience in steel, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical repair techniques, wiring, and tool handling.
• Ability to read basic electrical drawings and schematics.
• Good understanding of safety standards and workshop procedures.
