Workshop Welder/Fabricator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Workshop Welder/Fabricator to join our team, based at our workshop near Yarcombe. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and attention to detail. This role involves workshop based fabrication and the possibility of occasional on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Work on a wide variety of tasks such as general fabrication, machinery repairs and general manufacturing.
• Fabricate components using both hand and power tools, ensuring precision and compliance with specifications.
• Weld components using manual welding equipment, with confident and competent use of MIG and/or ARC (Stick) welding techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• There is also the opportunity to work on-site at various locations carrying out fabrication, repairs and machinery installations if this would be of interest.

Requirements

• Proven experience in MIG and/or ARC (Stick) welding and general fabrication.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
• Experience with assembly of fabricated components into finished products or structures.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to welding and fabrication environments.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced workshop setting.
• A full UK driving licence is essential due to the location.
• Full training will be provided where required.

Pay: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
