Wound Care Certified RN

Ventura Wound Care is a physician-led mobile wound care practice providing advanced wound care services to patients in homes, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing facilities throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara County.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong wound care background to join our growing team. This role involves independent field-based patient care in collaboration with our physician and provider team using a combination of in-person and telehealth-supported care.

Responsibilities Include:

• Comprehensive wound assessments and documentation
• Dressing changes and advanced wound care treatments
• NPWT/wound VAC management
• Compression wrapping and edema management
• Patient and caregiver education
• Coordination with home health agencies and facility staff
• Assisting with implementation of physician-directed wound care plans
• Potential performance of conservative sharp wound debridement consistent with California RN scope of practice, documented competency, physician protocols, and company policy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active California RN license
• Minimum 2 years of wound care experience preferred
• Wound care certification preferred (WCC, CWON, CWCN, CWOCN, etc.)
• Experience with conservative sharp wound debridement strongly preferred
• Comfortable working independently in the field
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara County
• Spanish speaking preferred but not required
