Wound Care Provider (Independent Contractor)

Help build one of Nebraska's growing mobile advanced wound care programs while practicing with the latest regenerative wound healing technologies.

Cornerstone Wound Care is seeking an experienced Wound Care Provider to join our growing mobile and clinic-based wound care program.

This is an Independent Contractor (1099) position with compensation based on per-patient encounters, offering flexibility and the opportunity to grow with an expanding regenerative medicine practice.

Position Overview

The provider will evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic wounds in both clinic and mobile settings, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, private residences, and other healthcare locations.

This position focuses on advanced wound management, including amniotic tissue graft applications, regenerative wound care, debridement, and evidence-based wound treatment protocols.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic wounds.
• Perform sharp debridement and other wound care procedures within your scope of practice.
• Apply amniotic tissue grafts and other regenerative wound care products.
• Manage complex wounds using evidence-based treatment protocols.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation that meets Medicare, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, home health agencies, and facility staff.
• Travel to patient locations as part of our expanding mobile wound care program.

Qualifications

• Active Nebraska license as an MD, DO, Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA), as applicable.
• Previous wound care experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with advanced wound care products and biologic/amniotic grafts is highly desirable.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMRs). Familiarity with AI-assisted documentation tools or technology-enabled workflows is a plus.
• Wound care certifications (WCC, CWS, CWSP, or equivalent) are welcomed but not required.
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and commitment to quality documentation.
