Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical imaging, patient care, and administrative support. As an X-ray Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients in various settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care facilities, and hospitals. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients of all ages, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain patient safety by adhering to radiation safety protocols and ensuring proper positioning during imaging.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide necessary clinical information.
- Document patient information accurately in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including medical history, vital signs, and intake details.
- Assist with medication administration as required and monitor patients for any adverse reactions during procedures.
- Maintain equipment functionality through regular checks and report any malfunctions or issues promptly.
- Uphold medical terminology standards while communicating with team members regarding patient care and imaging results.
Experience
Candidates should have experience or knowledge in the following areas:
- Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks and EHR systems is essential.
- Proficient in patient service skills with a strong focus on patient care and comfort.
- Understanding of physiology, anatomy knowledge, ICD coding, and vital signs monitoring is preferred.
- Radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Operating digital imaging systems
- Assisting with minor procedures and perparing exam rooms.
- Sterilizing instruments and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Dealing with diverse patient populations.
- Working in fast paced enviornments.
- EMR systems knowledge (Eclinical Works).
