Yard Inventory Associate (Bilingual)

Position Summary

Texas Steel Conversion is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Yard Inventory Coordinator to support inventory control operations within our pipe processing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through physical counts, heat number segregation, and effective coordination with forklift operators and production personnel. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with pipe inventory, strong computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Pay

• Starting at $15.00 per hour
• Weekly pay
• Overtime opportunities available

Schedule

• Typically 5–6 days per week
• May require up to 7 days per week based on business needs
• 8–12 hour shifts

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform daily physical inventory counts of pipe and related materials.
• Verify and maintain accurate inventory records within company systems.
• Ensure proper heat number identification and segregation of materials.
• Coordinate with forklift operators regarding material movement and storage locations.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Conduct yard audits and cycle counts as required.
• Update inventory information using computer-based inventory systems.
• Maintain organized storage locations and accurate material tracking.
• Communicate effectively with operations, shipping, receiving, and production personnel.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with pipe inventory, OCTG products, steel, or industrial materials preferred.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills, including data entry and inventory tracking.
• Ability to read and understand heat numbers, material descriptions, and inventory documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and walk throughout the yard during shifts.
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
