Yard Loader Operator

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, and a skid steer, to load and unload materials accurately and safely
• Manage yard inventory by organizing materials and ensuring proper storage practices.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
• Support other team members with equipment operations.
• Maintain detailed logs of material movements, equipment usage, and safety checks
• Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and promote a secure work environment

Requirements

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, backhoes, graders, water trucks, or similar machinery in construction or industrial settings
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine maintenance
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving large vehicles like dump trucks or tanker trucks preferred, but no necessary. Mainly in yard only.
• Familiarity with construction site safety standards and procedures
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Knowledge of John Deere and CASE machinery or similar brands is advantageous

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
