Position Summary:

The Yard Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dealership’s yard, including the movement, storage, and maintenance of boats and related equipment. This role ensures the yard is organized, safe, and operating efficiently, while supporting the sales and service departments with timely boat handling and logistics.

What You’ll Do:

• Supervise and coordinate all yard activities, including boat movement, staging, storage, and cleanliness.
• Oversee a team of yard staff, providing direction, training, and support as needed.
• Ensure all boats and equipment are handled safely and according to company and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, boat locations, and yard equipment.
• Coordinate with the sales and service departments to ensure timely delivery and preparation of boats for customers.
• Monitor and maintain yard equipment, scheduling regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free yard environment.
• Assist with loading and unloading boats, trailers, and other equipment as required.
• Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in yard operations, logistics, or a related field preferred but not required.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts, trailers, and other yard equipment (certifications a plus).
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license.
