Job Summary
Pemberton Truck Lines, Based in Knoxville, TN, is managing the Academy Sports Distribution Center in Jeffersonville, GA.

We have 1 spot we need to fill with a reliable and safety focused individual.

1. Spotter: Friday to Sunday 6:00AM - 6:30PM.

Full Time, will be paid as if you worked 40 hours. Overtime available.

Pay is $22.00 / HR

Yard runs 24/7

This job does require good physical mobility to climb in and out of the truck and Trailers many times a day, as well as raise and lower the landing gear, and deal with Sea Containers.

• You must have reliable transportation.
• Some Commercial Driving experience is preferred but not required. (Must have backing skills)
• You must have a Valid drivers license.
• Clean Criminal record.
• Strong Work Ethic.
• Work well with others.
• Flexible.

Duties

• Safely maneuver Trailers within the yard, Backing Into Doors and Parking Spots in a timely manner.
• Spot trailers for loading, unloading, or staging, ensuring proper placement to optimize yard flow.
• Conduct routine inspections of trailers for damage or safety issues before moving them into a door or when pulled out of the door.
• Support safety protocols by monitoring yard activity, adhering to safety guidelines related to commercial driving and equipment operation.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving or commercial driving environments with a focus on backing trailers and moving them safely around the yard.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with other drivers, warehouse personnel, and management.
