Yard Worker/Forklift Operator

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 40–50 Hours per Week

We are an established construction supply company seeking a dependable, hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in staying organized, and can work safely in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently while supporting our sales and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Pull and prepare customer orders accurately from sales tickets.
• Load delivery trucks safely and efficiently.
• Unload incoming shipments and verify receiving paperwork.
• Organize and stock materials in designated yard locations.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment.
• Assist customers and provide excellent customer service.
• Participate in annual physical inventory counts.
• Perform basic facility and yard maintenance as needed.
• Complete additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience required (certification preferred).
• Building materials or construction supply experience strongly preferred.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in an outdoor environment.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and noise.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
