Year 4 Teacher (British Curriculum)

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Year 4 Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the British National Curriculum, ensuring high standards of student achievement, progress, and wellbeing. You will play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes both academic excellence and personal development.
This position is only open to candidates with experience in the British National Curriculum
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching and Learning

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the British National Curriculum (Key Stage 2).
  • Teach core subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, and other Year 4 curriculum areas.
  • Use diverse teaching strategies to accommodate varying learning abilities.
  • Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and engaging classroom activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through formative and summative assessments.
  • Provide constructive and timely feedback to support student development.

Classroom Management

  • Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Establish clear behavior expectations and classroom routines.
  • Encourage student participation, curiosity, and critical thinking.

Assessment and Reporting

  • Track and document student progress and academic performance.
  • Prepare and submit student reports in line with school policies.
  • Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress and development.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with fellow teachers, teaching assistants, and school leadership.
  • Participate in staff meetings, curriculum planning, and professional development sessions.
  • Contribute to school events, extracurricular activities, and improvement initiatives.

Safeguarding and Student Welfare

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students.
  • Adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Promote respect, inclusion, and positive values within the school community. Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education

OR

Accepted Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) (preferably with Primary/Early Years specialization)
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or Primary Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject plus a teaching qualification

Teaching Certification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

OR

Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years teaching experience in a British Curriculum school (preferred)
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2 / Year 4 (advantage)
  • Experience in an international school environment (desirable)

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of the British National Curriculum

Preference: Candidates who are sponsored by their husband or family will be given preference.

Pay: QAR10,000.00 - QAR12,000.00 per month
