Duties

• Supervise and engage children in structured activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development
• Implement age-appropriate curriculum activities including arts, sports, theater, and educational games
• Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and respectful environment
• Assist with homework help, tutoring, and academic support tailored to individual student needs
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times; administer basic first aid when necessary
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other staff to support each child's growth and well-being
• Lead recreational activities such as sports coaching or camp-style programs during afterschool hours

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in educational settings, childcare, camp programs, or babysitting roles
• Knowledge of classroom management strategies and childhood development principles
• Certifications in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Background in special education or early childhood education is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of children and families
• Passion for teaching, mentoring, and fostering a supportive environment for youth
• Ability to handle behavior management challenges with patience and professionalism
