Job Summary

St. John Universal School, Goregaon, is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Yoga Teacher to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and holistic development among students from Grades 1 to 10, in alignment with ICSE guidelines and the school’s values.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct age-appropriate yoga sessions for students of Grades 1–10
• Teach basic asanas, pranayama, meditation, relaxation, and mindfulness techniques
• Incorporate yoga practices that improve flexibility, strength, concentration, and emotional balance
• Ensure student safety and correct posture during yoga practice
• Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment
• Integrate yoga education with health, wellness, and value-based education
• Prepare students for yoga demonstrations, assemblies, competitions, and annual events
• Maintain attendance records and provide feedback on student progress
• Collaborate with school staff and participate in meetings, training, and school activities

Qualifications

• Certification/Diploma/Degree in Yoga from a recognized institution
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (any discipline)
• Knowledge of child psychology and age-appropriate teaching methods

Experience

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience teaching yoga to school-age children (preferred)
• Experience in ICSE/CBSE/International schools will be an added advantage

Compensation

• Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
