Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Youth Development Professional to join our team in Duffield, Virginia. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the well-being and development of children in our care, aligning with our mission to foster growth and stability.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and supervision to children in the residential home.
• Assist with daily living activities and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs.
• Implement and support behavioral management and conflict resolution efforts.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Administer medication as required.
• Promote a nurturing and trauma informed environment that encourages positive development.
• Qualifications
• Proven experience working with youth ages 5-18 (paid or volunteer).
• Strong understanding of behavioral management and crisis intervention.
• First aid certification and CPR training or ability to obtain such training.
• Ability to work effectively with children who have behavioral issues and who have been effected by trauma.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• 12 hour night shifts with rotating week-ends required.
• Must be dependable-able to work on scheduled holidays and bad weather.
• Valid driver’s license for transportation duties.
• Compassionate attitude aligned with our mission to support vulnerable children.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Have conservative lifestyle and be able to provide Pastor reference.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
