Join us as a
Youth Group Home Caregiver
and provide a nurturing, structured environment for adolescents in our group homes in Broward County, Florida. Many of these youth have been removed from their homes due to challenging circumstances, and your role will be essential in providing stability, leadership, and positive reinforcement.
Position Overview:
As a Youth Group Home Caregiver, you’ll support and guide adolescents by modeling appropriate behavior, assisting in daily life activities, and contributing to a healthy, safe environment. You’ll also collaborate with other staff in orientation and training, crisis intervention, and recreational activities to promote residents' well-being.
Key Responsibilities:

Documentation & Organization: Complete daily logs, checklists, and documentation per shift requirements.

Behavioral Support: Model appropriate behavior and interactions, providing guidance to both clients and staff.

Crisis Management: Lead crisis intervention efforts and report incidents promptly.

Activity Planning: Participate in recreational activities to enhance social engagement and development.

Training & Orientation: Assist with onboarding new staff and ensuring they understand group home procedures.

Scheduling Support: Manage scheduling changes as needed to ensure adequate coverage.
Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: Familiarity with group home policies, crisis intervention, and incident reporting.

Background Check: Must be able to pass all necessary criminal background checks.

Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively in a team.

Team-Oriented: Cooperative and adaptable, especially when working with diverse groups facing challenges.

Tech Skills: Basic computer skills, including internet and email use; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Licensing: Valid Florida driver’s license with insurance meeting $50,000/$100,000/$50,000 liability limits; clean driving record (no more than 6 points on MVR).

Compliance: Complete 40 hours of training annually and pass criminal background checks.
Pay & Benefits:

Competitive Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour based on qualifications and experience.

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $500 for full-time, $250 for part-time and per diem roles.

Full-Time Benefits: Eligible for group medical, dental, and retirement plan (403b) with up to 4% employer match after one year. Accrued paid time off and company-issued equipment as needed.
