Youth Sports Picture Day Organizer & Photographer

Bellamani Photography is expanding across Southern California, and we’re looking for friendly, patient, and dependable team members to join us for the upcoming Youth Sports season and Pre-School Graduation events. We specialize in capturing Youth Sports Leagues all over Southern California — from AYSO, YMCA, and i9 Sports to local community programs from Santa Barbara to San Diego.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS:

• Picture Day Organizer – $150/day (up to 6 hours)
• Team Photographer – $200/day (up to 6 hours)
• Individual Photographer – $250/day (up to 6 hours)

After 6 hours ($25–$30/hr depending on position)

ORGANIZER

$150/day (up to 6 hours)

$20/hour after 6 hours

Photography experience not required

Responsibilities:

• Greet families, coaches, and children with warmth and professionalism
• Set up and manage the check-in table and display sample products
• Organize teams by height and ensure uniforms are consistent
• Assign a parent or a coach to help pose the children, help fix uniforms and make small adjustments (hair, shirts, etc.)
• On occasion, check children in by taking a reference photo with a company provided tablet before they reach photographers
• Communicate with photographers to maintain the schedule

The Organizer is the heart of our photo day — keeping everything on time, calm, and professional.

TEAM PHOTOGRAPHER

$200/day (up to 6 hours)

$25/hour after 6 hours

Responsibilities:

• Position team is a uniform manner
• Capture clean, consistent team and group portraits efficiently
• Keep a positive, encouraging tone when working with kids and coaches
• Adjust exposure, ISO, and flash settings quickly for changing conditions
• Work collaboratively with the Organizer and Lead Photographer
• Maintain a calm, professional presence during high-volume events

Required Knowledge & Equipment

• Strong understanding of manual camera settings (exposure, white balance, flash sync)
• Comfortable working in both outdoor and indoor settings
• Able to set up a 10’x20’ backdrop (by yourself) when required

Required Gear

• Full-frame DSLR or Mirrorless camera (45MP minimum)
• On- and off-camera flash (speedlight or strobes) with reflector, umbrella, or softbox
• Zoom lens with hood (24–70mm)

INDIVIDUAL PHOTOGRAPHER

Pay: $250/day (up to 6 hours)

Overtime: $30/hour after 6 hours

Responsibilities:

• Capture flattering, consistent individual portraits for each child
• Direct, motivate, and assist team photographers as needed
• Communicate professionally with league or school coordinators
• Manage image organization, exposure consistency, and backups

Required Knowledge and Equipment

• Expertise with both natural and artificial lighting
• Proficiency with on- and off-camera flash and strobes
• Ability to adapt lighting quickly to changing conditions

Required Gear:

• Full-frame DSLR or Mirrorless (45MP minimum)
• Two professional lenses (f/2.8 preferred — 24–70mm)
• On- and off-camera flash
• Off-camera strobes (200W+) with softbox or umbrella
• Light stands, reflector, and optional tripod

Additional Requirements:

• Must pass a background check (we work directly with children)
• Must have reliable transportation
• The bulk of our business is in Santa Clarita but all candidates must be willing to travel all over Southern California
• Must be able to lift and carry photography gear safely
• Must maintain a professional, positive attitude
• Must genuinely enjoy working with children and families

Job Type: Seasonal

Base Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
