Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and bilingual Truck Dispatcher to join our thriving logistics team in New Jersey. This role is vital in coordinating freight movements, managing transportation schedules, and ensuring seamless communication between drivers, clients, and warehouse operations. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and warehouse staff via multi-line phone systems and other communication tools to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor GPS and GIS data to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve transportation planning accuracy.
- Manage dispatching activities for freight pickups and deliveries, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Maintain accurate data entry records related to shipping & receiving, fleet management, and logistics operations within AS400 and other platforms.
- Conduct analysis of transportation data to identify inefficiencies or delays and implement corrective actions.
- Handle inquiries with professional phone etiquette while providing exceptional customer service to internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is prefered for effective communication across diverse teams.
- Experience with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GIS, GPS tracking, freight logistics, shipping & receiving processes, and supply chain management.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret transportation data for planning improvements.
- Proficiency in dispatching procedures, fleet management software, and multi-line phone systems.
- Familiarity with transportation planning tools like AS400 or 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) platforms is a plus.
- Strong communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently through data entry and typing skills. Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
