Engineering Lead

Work Location: Bangalore

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Engineering Lead to spearhead the design, architecture, and delivery of our next-generation software platforms. In this hybrid leadership and technical role, you will balance strategic engineering management with hands-on architecture. You will guide cross-functional teams, drive Agile transformations, and ensure the high availability, scalability, and security of our distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Guidance: Mentor, coach, and foster the career growth of engineers.
• Resource Planning: Optimize resource allocation and capacity planning for timely project delivery.
• Strategic Vision: Collaborate with product teams on design, scoping, and roadmap execution.
• Vendor Governance: Oversee third-party vendors and manage software engineering tool investments.
• Agile Transformation: Evangelize and continuously improve Agile methodologies across teams.

Architecture & System Design

• Scalable Systems: Architect modern microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
• API Strategy: Champion API-first design principles using API Gateways and Service Discovery.
• Reliability: Design fault-tolerant, high-availability platforms utilizing Resilience4j.
• Data Strategy: Architect efficient caching and data persistence layers for enterprise applications.

Hands-on Engineering & DevOps

• Core Development: Deliver high-quality code using Java, Spring Boot, and enterprise frameworks.
• Cloud & DevOps: Containerize applications using Docker and automate CI/CD pipelines via Github Actions
• Monitoring: Establish robust system observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and Nginx.
• AI Integration: Leverage AI tools like Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude to boost team productivity.

Requirements

• Backend: Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, Hibernate ORM.
• Messaging & Caching: Apache Kafka, Redis Caching.
• Databases: Relational ( Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Nginx, API Gateways, Service Discovery.
• DevOps & Tools: Docker, Maven, GitHub Actions, Prometheus, Grafana, Jira, postman, VS-Code.
• Security & Auth: OAuth, Spring Security.
• Frontend: Working knowledge of React.
• AI & Automation: GitHub Copilot, OpenAI, Claude, ChatGPT.

Experience & Soft Skills

• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and managing technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of successful Agile transformations and strategic resource planning.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex designs to non-technical stakeholders.
