Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level IV NICU experience for a night shift travel assignment at a Magnet-designated academic medical center in Washington State.
Details
- Work in a 637-bed short-term acute care, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
- Assignment covers Level IV NICU, adult ICU, and adult floor respiratory therapy
- Level IV NICU patient population with additional adult patient coverage
- Uses Epic for charting (preferred but not required)
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Weekends required as needed by the unit
- Floating within the hospital required; no floating to sister hospitals
- No on-call requirement
- Block scheduling is not available
Requirements
- Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Level IV NICU experience required
- Washington State Respiratory Care license required (pending license not accepted)
- Current BLS certification required
- COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
- At least 2 completed travel assignments beyond initial hospital employment
- Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rates with no radius restriction
- RTO is capped at 1 week maximum for the duration of the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during orientation week
- Prior UW staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before being considered for a travel position
- Scrubs in any color are acceptable; scrubs are provided for OR personnel
- Parking is available on-site at a daily cost to the traveler
