Supervising Medical Director / Psychiatrist (Part-Time)Position Overview: We are seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to serve as a Supervising Medical Director for our growing outpatient psychiatric practice. This is a low time commitment, high-impact leadership role ideal for a physician seeking supplemental income with minimal clinical burden.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide supervision and collaboration for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) and/or Physician Assistants (PAs) in accordance with Georgia regulations</li><li>Be available for consultation and case review as needed</li><li>Review and sign off on Schedule II medications when required</li><li>Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal guidelines</li><li>Participate in brief weekly clinical oversight (approx. 2&ndash;4 hours/week)</li></ul>Position Highlights:<ul><li>Flexible schedule (fully remote options available)</li><li>Minimal time commitment (2&ndash;4 hours per week)</li><li>Low stress, administrative-focused role</li><li>Competitive compensation for limited hours</li><li>Opportunity to support a collaborative, patient-centered psychiatric team</li><li>No requirement for full patient panel unless desired</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>MD or DO with completion of Psychiatry residency</li><li>Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist</li><li>Active, unrestricted Georgia medical license</li><li>DEA license with Schedule II prescribing authority</li><li>Experience supervising or collaborating with advanced practice providers preferred</li></ul>About Next Step Psychiatry:Next Step Psychiatry is a modern outpatient psychiatric practice specializing in comprehensive, patient-centered mental health care, including treatment-resistant conditions and integrative approaches.
