Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Machine Shop Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment within our manufacturing facility. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the machine shop are kept spotless, sanitized, and well-maintained. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team committed to excellence and operational efficiency.Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform thorough cleaning of the machine shop, including floors, workbenches, machinery, and common areas to ensure a tidy workspace.</li><li>Conduct routine custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal throughout the facility.</li><li>Maintain floor care by buffing and polishing surfaces to uphold safety standards and appearance.</li><li>Assist with industrial cleaning tasks, including cleaning machinery components and workstations after production runs.</li><li>Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs needed for cleaning equipment or facility infrastructure.</li><li>Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or hazards in the work environment.</li><li>Keep detailed records of cleaning schedules and supplies used to ensure consistent hygiene standards.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within industrial or commercial settings.</li><li>Must be an american citizen or green card holder.</li><li>Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, including floor care, buffing, and sanitation procedures.</li><li>Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies.</li><li>Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain cleanliness standards consistently.</li><li>Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting maintenance issues.</li><li>Knowledge of safety procedures related to custodial work in manufacturing environments.
