Machine Shop Janitor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Machine Shop Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment within our manufacturing facility. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of the machine shop, including floors, workbenches, machinery, and common areas to ensure a tidy workspace.
• Conduct routine custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal throughout the facility.
• Maintain floor care by buffing and polishing surfaces to uphold safety standards and appearance.
• Assist with industrial cleaning tasks, including cleaning machinery components and workstations after production runs.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs needed for cleaning equipment or facility infrastructure.
• Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or hazards in the work environment.
• Keep detailed records of cleaning schedules and supplies used to ensure consistent hygiene standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within industrial or commercial settings.
• Must be an american citizen or green card holder.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, including floor care, buffing, and sanitation procedures.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain cleanliness standards consistently.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting maintenance issues.
