This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for food with your love of working with children in a warm, nurturing environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Plan and prepare balanced, age-appropriate meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines and menu plans</li><li>Ensure all food handling and preparation practices meet strict food safety standards and sanitation regulations</li><li>Assist in menu planning to incorporate variety, nutritional value, and appealing presentation for children</li><li>Manage food inventory, order supplies as needed, and maintain accurate records of food storage and usage</li><li>Serve meals in a friendly, efficient manner while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen area</li><li>Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary needs or allergies among children</li><li>Follow proper knife skills and cooking techniques to prepare high-quality dishes efficiently</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Previous experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable</li><li>Background in food preparation, cooking, or food service within the food industry or restaurant settings</li><li>Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling procedures</li><li>Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards applicable to childcare environments</li><li>Experience with catering or serving in fine dining or restaurant environments is a plus</li><li>Strong kitchen skills including knife proficiency, meal assembly, and food presentation</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail</li></ul>Join us to make a meaningful impact on children's health and happiness through nourishing meals!
