This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, customer relations, and retail operations while working in a dynamic setting.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit</li><li>Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items with precision and care</li><li>Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for orders, payments, and refunds</li><li>Manage cash handling accurately, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions</li><li>Maintain food safety standards by following proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures</li><li>Assist with food preparation tasks to ensure timely service and quality standards are met</li><li>Keep the caf&eacute; area clean, organized, and inviting by performing regular cleaning duties and stock replenishment</li><li>Handle customer inquiries professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction</li><li>Support sales efforts by suggesting menu items and upselling when appropriate</li><li>Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Previous barista or food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for coffee culture is a plus</li><li>Enthusiasm and knowledge of France or French is also a plus</li><li>Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous but not necessary</li><li>Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively</li><li>Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail</li><li>Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy</li><li>Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures</li><li>Experience in the food industry or caf&eacute; environment is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate</li><li>Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during shifts</li></ul>Join us as a Cafe Team Member where your energy fuels our success!
