Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items with precision and care
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for orders, payments, and refunds
• Manage cash handling accurately, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions
• Maintain food safety standards by following proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures
• Assist with food preparation tasks to ensure timely service and quality standards are met
• Keep the café area clean, organized, and inviting by performing regular cleaning duties and stock replenishment
• Handle customer inquiries professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
• Support sales efforts by suggesting menu items and upselling when appropriate
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service

Experience

• Previous barista or food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for coffee culture is a plus
• Enthusiasm and knowledge of France or French is also a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous but not necessary
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in the food industry or café environment is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during shifts
