Team ATS takes great pride in assisting ordinary people with accomplishing extraordinary things!Position OverviewATS is looking for a part-time staff accountant to assist with client's bookkeeping and tax engagements. There is flexibility in developing a schedule, but the position will require at least 2 days per week in the office.Responsibilities and Duties<ul><li>Client Care/New Client Intake</li><li>Preparing individual, partnership, and corporate, income tax return</li><li>Preparing payroll and sales tax returns</li><li>Conducting tax interviews with clients</li><li>Responding to tax notices</li><li>Bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, adjusting journal entries, etc.</li><li>Client Correspondence</li><li>File maintenance</li><li>Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Applicant Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or Finance</li><li>Tax Accountant</li><li>QuickBooks Experience</li><li>CPA license or candidate preferred</li><li>Public accounting experience preferred</li></ul>Required skills: <ul><li>Customer service</li><li>Strong computer skills</li><li>Great communication skills</li><li>Working knowledge of Excel &amp; QuickBooks</li><li>Ability to work independently</li><li>Great written/verbal communication skills and ability to work closely with clients and co-workers</li><li>Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>Understanding technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance</li><li>Preferred Qualifications:</li><li>Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field</li></ul>Work Remotely<ul><li>Temporarily due to COVID-19</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Physical Setting:<ul><li>Office</li></ul>Supplemental Pay:<ul><li>Bonus opportunities</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Tax experience: 1 year (Required)</li><li>Bookkeeping: 1 year (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>CPA (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
