We are a boutique personal injury firm in Beverly Hills seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to handle each matter from drafting and filing the complaint through trial.This is not a document-prep or support role &mdash; the attorney will serve as the primary litigator, managing all phases of discovery, motion practice, depositions (including expert witnesses), pre-trial preparation, and trial advocacy.Core ResponsibilitiesCase Management &amp; Litigation Strategy<ul><li>Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from filing through resolution.</li><li>Analyze case value, liability exposure, causation, and damages early to develop an effective litigation roadmap.</li><li>Draft comprehensive case plans, and discovery timelines.</li><li>Conduct ongoing evaluation of case posture for mediation, arbitration, or trial readiness.</li><li>Maintain detailed case documentation, calendar deadlines, and ensure compliance with all procedural rules.</li></ul>Pleadings &amp; Motions<ul><li>Draft, review, and file all necessary pleadings, including:</li><li>Complaints, amendments, and cross-complaints.</li><li>Answers, demurrers, motions to strike, and related oppositions/replies.</li><li>Motions to compel discovery, sanctions motions, and motions in limine.</li><li>Motions for summary judgment/adjudication (both drafting and opposing).</li><li>Trial briefs, post-trial motions (JNOV, new trial, etc.).</li><li>Draft and respond to meet and confer letters and separate statements.</li><li>Conduct detailed legal research and cite to CCP, Evidence Code, and relevant case law.</li></ul>Discovery<ul><li>Draft, serve, and respond to:</li><li>Form and special interrogatories</li><li>Requests for production</li><li>Requests for admission</li><li>Subpoenas duces tecum / deposition subpoenas</li><li>Manage expert and treating physician discovery, including:</li><li>Expert witness designations, de-designations, and 2034 code compliance.</li><li>Depositions of biomechanical, orthopedic, and medical experts.</li><li>Handle all discovery dispute resolution, including informal discovery conferences (IDCs) and court motions.</li></ul>Depositions &amp; Evidence<ul><li>Conduct and defend party, witness, and expert depositions.</li><li>Strategically question medical providers, adjusters, and lay witnesses.</li><li>Prepare your client for deposition and trial testimony.</li><li>Review and summarize deposition transcripts for use in trial prep and motions.</li><li>Coordinate evidence collection, exhibits, and trial demonstratives (medical illustrations, life care plans, etc.).</li></ul>Settlement &amp; Negotiations<ul><li>Prepare and serve CCP &sect;998 Offers to Compromise and negotiate settlements with opposing counsel.</li><li>Attend and argue at mediations, MSCs, and arbitrations.</li><li>Advise clients throughout negotiation and ensure informed consent for settlement.</li></ul>Trial Preparation &amp; Trial Work<ul><li>Prepare trial binders, exhibit books, jury instructions, witness outlines, verdict forms, and pre-trial motions.</li><li>Draft trial briefs, witness lists, exhibit lists, and statement of the case.</li><li>Participate in voir dire, opening statements, direct and cross-examination, and closing arguments.</li></ul>*<ul><li>Handle trial logistics (jury instructions, motions in limine, pre-trial orders, witness scheduling).</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Requirements<ul><li>Active California Bar License in good standing.</li><li>Minimum 5+ years of litigation experience in personal injury or related tort litigation.</li><li>Proven experience taking cases from complaint through trial (first or second chair).</li><li>Excellent command of California Code of Civil Procedure, Evidence Code, and local rules.</li><li>Ability to manage complex medical evidence, expert testimony, and damages modeling.</li><li>Exceptional legal writing, oral argument, and courtroom presentation skills.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of case management software (Casepeer).</li><li>Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Base Salary: $120,000 &ndash; $180,000+ (DOE and trial experience).</li><li>Bonus Compensation: Settlement-based and verdict-based performance incentives.</li><li>Career Growth: Opportunity to serve as lead trial counsel and manage a litigation team as the firm expands.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
