This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in caregiving, behavioral health, and social support within a vibrant, supportive environment.Duties<ul><li>Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to foster independence and dignity.</li><li>Support behavioral health and behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and emotional stability.</li><li>Facilitate community outings, social activities, and recreational events to encourage socialization and community integration.</li><li>Collect data on progress, behaviors, and service outcomes to inform care plans and ensure compliance with regulations.</li><li>Administer medication following prescribed protocols while maintaining accurate medication administration records.</li><li>Use effective communication skills including American Sign Language when necessary to enhance understanding and interaction.</li><li>Drive individuals safely to appointments or community activities using personal or agency vehicles as required.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Diploma or GED or Equivalent</li><li>Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or disabilities in home or community settings.</li><li>Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices.</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with diverse populations.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and clean driving record for transportation duties.</li><li>Ability to assist with ADLs and provide caregiving support in various environments.</li><li>Familiarity with data collection methods related to client progress or behavioral tracking.</li><li>Basic understanding of medication administration protocols; previous experience is a plus.</li><li>Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
