Located in a supportive environment, this role is vital in helping our clients achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.Scope of Contractor&rsquo;s Services:The New Mexico Family Infant Toddler (FIT) Program uses a transdisciplinary team approach when possible. That means if more than one provider is working with a child and family, those professionals work together to support the child and family. They conduct co-visits and talk with each other in-between visits to discuss ways to work with the family to support the child&rsquo;s overall development. That includes cross-disciplinary sharing of information and training. All teams are led by a Family Service Coordinator. Team members may include a Developmental Specialist, Speech-language therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Dietician and/or a Family Support Specialist.Services are based on the following eight key principles:<ul><li>Infants and toddlers learn best through everyday experiences and interactions with familiar people in familiar contexts.</li><li>All families, with the necessary support and resources, can enhance their children&rsquo;s learning and development.</li><li>The primary role of a service provider in early intervention is to work with and support family members and caregivers in children&rsquo;s lives.</li><li>The early intervention process, from initial contacts through transition, must be dynamic and individualized to reflect the child&rsquo;s and family members&rsquo; preferences, learning styles, and cultural beliefs.</li><li>Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) outcomes must be functional and based on children&rsquo;s and families&rsquo; needs and family-identified priorities.</li><li>The family&rsquo;s priorities, needs, and interests are addressed most appropriately by a primary provider who represents and receives team and community support.</li><li>Interventions with young children and family members must be based on explicit principles, validated practices, best available research, and relevant laws and regulations.</li><li>Support for families in developing strategies to understand, interpret and nurture their child&rsquo;s development is best achieved through the use of reflective practices.</li><li>Professional Requirements and Qualifications:</li><li>Unquestioned integrity required.</li><li>Independent and Responsible.</li><li>Flexible.</li><li>Outstanding interpersonal relationship skills.</li><li>Desire to work with children in a home or daycare setting.</li><li>Experience working with young children and families preferred.</li><li>Compliant with all applicable New Mexico Public Health Order requirements.</li><li>Computer experience, knowledge of or demonstrated ability to use Word, Excel, and other computer programs, as needed.</li><li>Comply with state directives regarding health and safety practices and expectations when appropriate, including, mask wearing, social distancing, etc.</li><li>Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.</li><li>Valid NM driver&rsquo;s license, reliable transportation with current automobile liability policy (bodily injury liability minimum must be $100,000/300,000 and 100,000 property) with continuous coverage.</li><li>Clearing a criminal background check required.</li><li>Current Professional Liability Insurance.</li></ul>If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, we invite you to apply today and join us in our mission!Job Type: ContractWork Location: In personPay: $90.00 per hourWork Location: In person

Our programs include Infant/Toddler Services (early intervention), Respite Services, and Family Living.Our Respite Program is a flexible, support service that provides care to people with disabilities. This service allows families to take a break from the daily routine of care giving. Contractor Respite providers assist in activities of daily living and promote the individual's health and safety, while providing opportunities for leisure, play and other recreational activities. We are looking for energetic and passionate Independent Contractors who have a desire to make a difference in someone&rsquo;s life by providing companionship and personal care to children or adults with developmental disabilities.Scope of Contractor&rsquo;s Responsibilities:Plan and implement delivery of respite services to children and their families on designated caseload.Services include DD Waiver and General State Funded Respite as defined and regulated by DOH Developmental Disabilities Supports Division.Provide services which reflect developmentally appropriate practice, as well as cultural and linguistic sensitivity.Communicate verbally and in writing accurately, precisely and in a professional manner.Partner with parents and families of the children served by respite effectively and efficiently, following the training, supervision and direction provided by the families.Professional Requirements and Qualifications:Unquestioned integrity required.Must be independent, responsible, and able to respond to emergency situations.Meet all the training requirements of the New Mexico DOH for respite providers and provide evidence.Maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification.Valid NM driver&rsquo;s license, reliable transportation with current automobile liability policy (bodily injury liability minimum must be $100,000/300,000 and property liability must be $100,000) with continuous coverage.Clearing a criminal background check required.Educational Requirements and Qualifications:Education: Must be at least 18 years of age and have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency.Location &amp; Compensation:The position is based in Bernalillo New Mexico and provides a caring and welcoming work environment, flexible scheduling, and hourly pay.Pay: $14.50 per hourWork Location: In person
