About the Role<ul><li>We&rsquo;re seeking a detail-oriented Remote Bookkeeper to support a UK accounting practice.</li><li>The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Xero, QuickBooks, Capium, plus a strong grasp of the UK tax environment.</li></ul>Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero, Capium, QB etc.:&#8203; &#8203; Bank/credit-card reconciliations&#8203;</li><li>Expense classification &amp; posting&#8203; AP/AR tracking and month-end close&#8203;</li><li>Follow established internal processes and checklists&mdash;no industry-specific expertise required.&#8203;</li><li>Maintain accurate, organised records and flag any discrepancies proactively.&#8203;</li><li>Work independently on repetitive, rules-based tasks after initial training (should only need instructions once or twice).&#8203;</li><li>&#8203; Support the accountant in meeting UK compliance deadlines (VAT, payroll, Accounts and tax-filing).&#8203;</li><li>Communicate promptly and clearly with the supervising accountant.&#8203;</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Practical experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Capium.&#8203;</li><li>Working knowledge of UK Tax.</li><li>Ability to understand the logic behind accounting software&mdash;strong grasp of rules-based accounting rather than heavy math.&#8203;</li><li>Detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy on repetitive tasks.&#8203;</li><li>Availability during UK business hours.&#8203;</li><li>English communication: good written and spoken English.&#8203;</li><li>Self-starter who requires minimal micromanagement.&#8203;</li><li>Preferred / Nice-to-Have</li><li>Prior experience working on UK companies</li><li>Prior experience using Xero and Capium</li><li>Previous remote-work experience with accounting or bookkeeping teams.&#8203;</li><li>Comfort working with rules-based workflows and checklists.&#8203;</li></ul>Work Arrangement<ul><li>Schedule: Must overlap 9:30 AM &ndash; 5:30 PM UK Time&#8203;</li><li>Location: Fully remote&#8203;</li></ul>What We Value<ul><li>&#8203; Accuracy &amp; Consistency: Getting details right every time&#8203;</li><li>&#8203; Dependability: Meeting deadlines without repeated follow-ups&#8203;</li><li>&#8203; Process Discipline: Comfort with structured workflows and software-driven logic&#8203;</li><li>&#8203; Continuous Learning: Ability to adapt quickly to firm-specific processes&#8203;</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From Rs70,000.00 - Rs90,000.00 per monthEducation:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Xero : 2 years (Preferred)</li><li>Capium: 2 years (Preferred)</li><li>Experience working on UK companies: 2 years (Preferred)</li><li>Bank/credit-card reconciliations: 2 years (Preferred)</li><li>AP/AR: 2 years (Preferred)</li><li>Month-End Closing: 2 years (Preferred)</li><li>Accounting: 2 years (Preferred)</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>English (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: RemoteJob Type: Full-timePay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs90,000.00 per monthExperience:<ul><li>working for a UK accountancy firm: 1 year (Required)</li><li>using Xero: 1 year (Required)</li><li>using Capium: 1 year (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: Remote
