 Job Description:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 
 
 &bull; Process high-volume vendor invoices, including coding, entry, and verification for accuracy and proper approvals
 
 
 &bull; Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice processing, payment preparation, and distribution (check, ACH, wire)
 
 
 &bull; Maintain and update vendor records, including W-9s and payment terms
 
 
 &bull; Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or payment issues
 
 
 &bull; Respond to vendor inquiries and communicate effectively regarding payment status
 
 
 &bull; Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and accounts payable reconciliations
 
 
 &bull; Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures
 
 
 &bull; Support 1099 preparation and year-end reporting requirements
 
 
 &bull; Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper documentation and approval workflows
 
 
 &bull; Identify opportunities to improve efficiency within accounts payable processes
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Qualifications:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Education &amp; Experience:
 
 
 &bull; High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
 
 
 &bull; 1&ndash;3+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred
 
 
 
 
 
 Skills &amp; Abilities:
 
 
 &bull; Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial processing
 
 
 &bull; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems
 
 
 &bull; Understanding of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles
 
 
 &bull; Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
 
 
 &bull; Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams
 
 
 &bull; Ability to work independently and in a team environment
