</b></h5><p>The Appeals Analyst &ndash; LBR is responsible for preparing and submitting appeals to challenge inappropriate or excessive reductions made by clients or third-party bill review teams during the legal invoice auditing process. The role demands a strong understanding of billing guidelines, legal terminology, and billing codes to present wellargued justifications for reinstatement of billed time or costs. lead our technology strategy, oversee application development, and drive digital transformation across our products and services.
</p><h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Roles &amp; Responsibilities
</b></h5><p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<br>
</p><br>
<ul><li>Analyze reduced or rejected invoice line items to determine appeal potential based on billing guidelines, legal context, and documentation.
</li><li>Prepare clear, well-reasoned appeal justifications supported by time entry narratives, guidelines, and precedent.
</li><li>Collaborate with billing, legal, or delivery teams to gather supporting information for appeals.
</li><li>Submit formal appeals through client portals or billing platforms in accordance with specified formats and timelines.
</li><li>Track and monitor appeal outcomes, update internal systems, and report results to management.
</li><li>Identify trends in reductions and work with internal stakeholders to improve time entry quality and compliance.
</li><li>Maintain comprehensive documentation for each appeal submitted, including rationale, supporting materials, and outcome.
</li><li>Ensure appeals are filed within client-mandated deadlines and meet required quality standards.
</li><li>Stay updated with changes in client billing guidelines and legal billing best practices.
</li></ul><h5 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Key Requirements &amp; Preferred Qualifications<br>
</b></h5><br>
<ul><li>Familiarity with billing systems such as LegalExchange, TyMetrix, CounselLink, or similar platforms.
</li><li>Understanding of UTBMS/LEDES billing codes and legal billing guidelines.
</li><li>Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
</li><li>Attention to detail and the ability to construct clear and persuasive arguments.
</li><li>Proficient in MS Office and data management tools.
</li><li>1+ years of experience.
