A yard goat&rsquo;s main role is to organize and reposition trailers to keep freight operations running smoothly.</h2><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Essential Functions:
</h2><ul><li>Couple or uncouple trailers by changing trailer jack positions, connecting, or disconnecting air or electrical lines, or manipulating fifth-wheel locks.</li><li>
Check conditions of trailers after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage</li><li>
Crank trailer landing gear up or down to safely secure vehicles.</li><li>
Load and unload trucks, or help others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading-related equipment on vehicles, and using other equipment as necessary</li><li>
Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions</li><li>
Remove debris from loaded trailers</li><li>
Secure cargo for transport</li><li>
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned</li><li>
Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate</li><li>
Must abide by all safety rules</li><li>
Exercise care of equipment completes the forklift truck pre-use inspection sheet daily at the start of the shift. Returns completed sheets to his supervisor and reports all damages to his direct supervisor</li><li>

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
</li><li>Active Class C Driver's License and clean driving record</li><li>
Experience backing trailers or trucks is required</li><li>
One year of experience using Forklifts, Lift Trucks, and pallet jacks &ndash; Forklift certification required</li><li>
Maintain a clean and safe environment.</li><li>
Able to complete task assigned on a timely matter</li><li>
Good communication skills</li><li>
Bilingual English/Spanish highly desired
</li><li>Must work overtime when required</li><li>
Basic math skills, addition and subtraction</li><li>

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for directing workflow and overseeing the daily operations of warehouse employees to ensure productivity, accuracy, and safety.<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
