In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence in a home or community setting. Your contributions will significantly impact the lives of those you serve, helping them achieve their personal goals and enhancing their quality of life.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, cooking, and household tasks.</li><li>Provide support in community integration activities, encouraging social interaction and participation.</li><li>Monitor the health and safety of clients, ensuring a safe environment at all times.</li><li>Implement individualized care plans tailored to the specific needs of each client.</li><li>Engage in meaningful activities that promote skill development and personal growth.</li><li>Assist with heavy lifting as needed for mobility or transportation of clients.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behavior or health status.</li><li>Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of clients.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with home community care practices is highly desirable.</li><li>Skills in direct support within a group home setting are advantageous.</li><li>Certification in CPR and first aid is a plus.</li><li>Experience in patient monitoring or hospice care is beneficial but not required.</li><li>A caring attitude and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.</li></ul>Join us in making a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities by providing compassionate care and support as a Direct Support Professional.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $17.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Mileage reimbursement</li></ul>Work Location: In person
