Job SummaryAdvance Builders Group is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting for a growing South Florida skilled-trades organization. This is an in-house role for someone who understands full-cycle accounting and can keep financial records accurate, current, and organized across HVAC, plumbing, roofing, and related operations.Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor bills, customer payments, aging, and follow-up.</li></ul>Complete bank and credit-card reconciliations and investigate discrepancies promptly.Support weekly cash reporting, payroll coordination, and accurate posting of payroll-related entries.Maintain the general ledger and prepare month-end journal entries, schedules, and financial reports.Track job costs, materials, labor, permits, subcontractors, and other project expenses by division or job.Maintain vendor records, W-9s, certificates, and organized support for tax and audit requests.Partner with operations leadership to improve controls, reporting accuracy, collections, and profitability visibility.Qualifications<ul><li>At least 3 years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience; construction or home-services experience is strongly preferred.</li></ul>Working knowledge of full-cycle accounting, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close.Strong QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel skills; experience with payroll and CRM systems is a plus.Ability to work independently, protect confidential information, meet deadlines, and correct errors without delay.Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.CPA license is not required.Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
