 Role Overview:
 
 
 
 We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking&nbsp;Curriculum Development Specialist&nbsp;to lead the design, development, and implementation of vocational training programmes within a policing and security context. This role is central to ensuring that training programmes are&nbsp;operationally relevant, competency-based, and aligned with modern policing and security practices. The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of&nbsp;contemporary operational policing methodologies&nbsp;and translate these into high-quality learning, assessment, and immersive training experiences.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Curriculum Design &amp; Development
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Lead the development of&nbsp;competency-based vocational curricula&nbsp;aligned with organisational and operational policing requirements
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure curriculum reflects&nbsp;modern operational policing methodologies, frameworks, and best practices
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee the design and refinement of&nbsp;learning materials, learner guides, and instructional resources
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure alignment between&nbsp;learning outcomes, delivery methods, and assessment strategies
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Assessment &amp; Methodology
 
 
 <ul>

 Design and oversee&nbsp;robust assessment frameworks, including:

 <li>
 Practical and skills-based assessments
 </li>
 <li>
 Scenario-based and simulation-driven assessments
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure assessments accurately reflect&nbsp;real-world operational performance, decision-making, and command structures
 </li>

 Immersive &amp; Scenario-Based Learning
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Lead the integration of&nbsp;problem-based learning, simulations, and immersive training approaches
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop realistic scenarios aligned with&nbsp;current policing challenges and operational environments
 </li>
 <li>
 Embed competencies such as decision-making, risk management, communication, and multi-agency coordination
 </li>

 Implementation &amp; Change Leadership

 Work closely with trainers and instructors to&nbsp;implement new curricula and methodologies
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide&nbsp;guidance, coaching, and facilitative support&nbsp;to ensure effective adoption
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead change initiatives and build&nbsp;stakeholder buy-in across training teams
 </li>

 Quality Assurance &amp; Standards

 Lead&nbsp;quality assurance processes&nbsp;for training and assessment
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with recognised vocational and awarding body standards
 </li>

 Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness, recommending continuous improvements

 Resource &amp; Capability Development
 
 
 <ul>

 Advise on the development of&nbsp;training resources and facilities, including simulation environments
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide input on delivery models to ensure alignment with&nbsp;operational, organisational, and resource constraints
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Qualifications &amp; Experience
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Essential:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Background in&nbsp;policing, security, or a closely related operational field
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong knowledge and practical understanding of&nbsp;modern operational policing methodologies and frameworks
 </li>
 <li>
 Bilingual (Arabic and English)&nbsp;&ndash; strong written and verbal communication in both
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and development of learning resources and assessment tools
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in&nbsp;vocational education and training environments
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven experience designing or delivering, scenario-based training and simulation or problem-based learning approaches
 </li>
 <li>
 Recognised qualification as a&nbsp;vocational trainer and assessor
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Desirable:

 Recognised qualification as an&nbsp;Internal Verifier / Quality Assurer
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working with&nbsp;national or international qualification frameworks or awarding bodies
 </li>

 Experience developing training within&nbsp;government or security sector organisations
 </li>
