Job Summary: The Construction Estimator plays a pivotal role in the successful execution of projects and serves as a leader within the company. This position requires a high level of responsibility, including preparing detailed cost estimates and reviewing third-party estimates for accuracy and alignment with project goals. The Estimator also collaborates closely with the in-house Project Manager to support field operations and ensure seamless, efficient job production.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: <ul><li>To provide leadership and to establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with clients and subcontractors</li><li>To have a general knowledge of residential construction practices and experience in a leadership role</li><li>To have a thorough and complete knowledge and understanding of the products and services offered, and of the individual project needs</li><li>Communicate with clients to determine the exact scope of work</li><li>Explore documentation in order to gain a deep understanding of the project requirements</li><li>Visit job sites and other venues necessary to complete estimates</li><li>Maintain a material pricing database</li><li>Perform complex analysis of collected data and metrics</li><li>Prepare relevant and reliable forecasts</li><li>Create and present reports to upper management</li><li>Analyze and evaluate offers</li><li>Build and maintain long-term relationships with the key vendors</li><li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the overall success of the team and company operations</li><li>Analyze and review third party estimates, ensuring they are meeting the AGP standard</li><li>Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure collaboration and efficiency on jobs</li></ul>Skills required: <ul><li>Previous working experience as construction estimator for (3-5) years</li><li>Previous leadership experience</li><li>In-depth knowledge of residential construction &ndash; specifically vinyl and fiber cement siding</li><li>Proficient and recent working knowledge with estimating software.</li><li>Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook</li><li>Basic understanding of MS Access</li><li>Effective time management and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines</li><li>Ability to multitask</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Critical-thinker and problem-solver</li><li>BA in engineering, construction science or similar relevant field</li><li>Maintain excellent communication with management, employees and customers</li><li>Prioritize and multitask to accomplish multiple assignments and deadlines</li><li>Take initiative to complete assignments, on time, and be held accountable for results</li><li>Maintain professionalism at all times</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeProjected Total Compensation: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
