Job Title: Medical Receptionist / Front Desk CoordinatorJob Summary: The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients at a busy doctor&rsquo;s office. This role is responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a smooth patient check-in process, and supporting clinical staff with administrative and basic patient care coordination, including assisting with walk-in injection visits.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Greet and check in patients using electronic medical records (EMR) systems</li><li>Verify patient information, insurance details, and update records as needed</li><li>Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments</li><li>Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately</li><li>Process patient payments, co-pays, and provide receipts</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area</li><li>Coordinate patient flow and communicate delays or updates to patients</li><li>Assist with walk-in patients requiring injections by notifying clinical staff and preparing necessary documentation</li><li>Ensure all forms and consent documents are completed accurately</li><li>Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li><li>Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred</li><li>Familiarity with EMR systems and basic computer skills</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Professional demeanor and attention to detail</li></ul>Work Environment:<ul><li>Fast-paced medical office setting</li><li>Frequent interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and staff</li></ul>Preferred Skills:<ul><li>Experience handling insurance verification and billing processes</li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology</li><li>Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure</li></ul>This role is essential in creating a positive patient experience while ensuring efficient front office operations.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $18.00 per hourWork Location: In person
